Conference participants may need a Chinese visa to enter China, specifically, those who are not Chinese citizens, except passport holders from Singapore, Brunei, and Japan (for short-term stay). In order to avoid any travel delays and disruptions, we recommend that participants read and follow the instructions in the guidance issued by the official websites of your local Embassy or Consulate of China. It is recommended to apply for a Chinese visa at least 1 month in advance, and initiate the process as early in your travel plans as possible. 

For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa; an invitation letter is NOT required for obtaining a Tourist visa. However, if it is required that a Business Visa (F Visa) is a must, we are pleased to issue an Invitation Letter. 

To obtain the invitation letter, please complete registration for the conference in your personal portal. An official visa invitation letter issued and stamped by Westlake University requires at least 3 working days to process.
